Another reason for Fall excitement

So I am a little embarassed to release more reasons why I am excited for Fall. I'm usually not a TV junkie and really like to be out doing things... but when it comes to these series below... I can't help it. Every year, I get so excited for these shows, love every minute of them throughout the season, then get heartbroken when I watch the last one. Then the anticipaction KILLS me til the next season begins. So here you have it... my fall series excitements.

1. Vampire Diaraies..
Everyone in this show is Beautiful! And they film right in Decatur. My friend actually works on the set and says everyone is way cool and incredibly chill. bonus. This brings me back to being in Rexburg when it was -7 degrees out and you didnt dare go outside. So I would bundle up in a blanket and watch the series until I could barely keep my eyes open. Not to mention the nice eye candy of all the guys on the cast.. this ones a favorite.

2. Private Practice
Talk about drama drama drama. I know its probably humanly impossible to have as much drama as these people do, But I just go with it since they're doctors. I really like how last season they got to the core of some really serious issues and exposed it in a light that no other shows do. They got to the heart of what some victims actually go through on a day to day basis and dont just show it in a 30 minute period. It was commendable.

3. GLEE
Okay....In highschool I was a big choir nerd. Like the biggest. And was president of Show Choir. Needless to say we were nowehere near as good as these people but it still was a highlight of my highschool experience. And to top it off, I may or may not get excited everytime they bust out into an awesome rendition of some song. And last but not least... The Secret Circle. I have a strange love for anything supernatural. weird I know.. But dont worry I know how to separate this from reality. But its who I am and what I enjoy- ever since I was little. we will try and give this one a try... We will know after tonight!

Its the Simple Things

So lately I have come to be reminded again that... Its the small and simple things in life that make you happy.
Life and God have blessed me far beyond than I deserve. Lately, I have been in this entitlement phase where I have felt... "I work hard...I deserve this"..."This needs to be done my way"... or my personal favorite..."I do what I want!". Yah..

But luckily the small and simple things have brought me back to reality so that I can see just how blessed I really am.

I Love:
Being a nerd with my best friend
Being with my family
Laughing
Big hugs from my little brothers
Dancing in my car
Kissing
Smiling
Working Hard
Reunions with Best friends who live far away
Learning new things
Succeeding
A good work out
Waking up

Life truly is a Beautiful Thing.
So please.... When you are having a crappy day, feel that others have more than you, are waiting for the next best thing, craving that one thing you cant have just right now..... Remember... Look at what you do have and know, someone else is dreaming to have a life as good as yours.

Thats my little tid bit for the day. My good friend told me I need to write more often so I can write less in each post lol. So I'm finishing with some pics of my favorite small and simple things.

Being Goofy with my best friend

Random phone pictures with my little brother
Little boys who are so clean... after getting dirt and stickiness all over your work clothes :)
Being remembered in your little brother's homework- to draw a family tree...

Oh and last but not least... My issues featured in my previous post here. I got like 10 more spider bites... This is the third and hopefully the last of 2011

Issues

So I have come to the conclusion that I just have issues. To the point where its embarassing. Anyone who has ever lived with me can confirm that I have the most random ill-fated medical happenings... And it all usually happens all within a 4 week span for the year. So I knew I was due this year as it is almost September and just my luck... oh did the misfortune come. Granted it wasnt a bunch of things that happened but just a few things that just plain sucked.

First off... I am crazy allergic to spider bites. I am just minding my nice business when I feel a couple pinches on my arm. At first I thought it was just mosquito bites... looked the same way felt the same way... and then came the fever, chills, and spread. ugh.... This was taken on day two... and on day 3-4 it covered my whole arm.

And this made me sick for about a week.

The next week was our championship kickball game. I was playing catcher. Please note, I am 5'1 and about 120 lbs. Long story short.... I got knocked on my booty by a 6'3 275 lb guy. Freakin ouch.

Then last week, I started feel sick to my stomach and extremely dizzy at work. Next thing I know... I was almost passed out in the bathroom. Talk about embarassing. Then all I remember was my boss driving me home and a co worker following behind so I would have my car... an hour drive from where I work. double embarassing. Come to find out.. I had an inner ear infection. I had the worst vertigo I have ever had... and it lasted about 5 days. After missing two days of work and being refined to my apartment for an eternity... this better be the end.

All in all I am trying to find it comical... While in the back of my mind praying that nothing more happens. But these are the wonderful issues of my life :)

Birthday-Ness

So for about 6 years I have had what I refer to as a "Birthday Curse". Every year since my 16th Birthday I have had a not so bueno birthday. Lets just say they were filled with working either 13 hour days, on the road, or getting my car totaled by a hit and run driver on my 21st. Yeah.. So this year I was determined to make it a good one. And lets just say I succeeded. With help from family and friends.
Wednesday was the actual day and since we all know that's the most happening time of the week.. well it was dedicated to family. So after my awesome dinner of choice of steak, mashed potatoes, and rolls, I got to enjoy my favorite.... Strawberry cake and cupcakes. I only get it once a year and its my absolute favorite!
Then on Saturday about 15 of my closest friends got together and we all just had a pretty awesome night. It meant so much that all of these people came out for my special day and that they helped me have by far one of the best birthdays I have ever had. And a special thanks goes out to Solaire. Thanks everyone!

Good News Great News & Updates

So the verdict is in for my car..... Drumroll Please...Broken thermostat, broken something stabilizer, transmission flush and fluid replacement, power steering fix, and new front brakes.....

Price: $0

Can I please get an amen????

Well I actually had to fork out a little for the brakes but nothing too bad. Turns out some parts that needing fixing on the car were actually part of a recall. And thanks to my iron clad warranty... my wallet and bank account were saved. Thank you Fidelity

O and a special thanks goes out to Kevin for letting me use his car while mine was in the shop. I got to roll in the gangster Jeep :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This weekend.... was a blast. I had one of my favorite people in town to visit... Miss Timara F. And... I got to see my friend Alyssa too. Pretty much.. It was a much needed ladies night. I hate that this picture came out blurry but at least I have one :)
No matter what we are doing I can always have fun with these two. Thanks Loves!
I also got to particpate in my Southern duty by going to a gun show. Yup... Oh how I love seeing my southern rednecks in Camo and cargo pockets within cargo pockets and veteran gun enthusiasts. It was pretty cool and I learned some new stuff too. By the way.. I want to take a shooting class now. I want to be like Bobby Lee Swagger- Mark Wahlberg- in that movie Shooter. Swagger.... Ill be your sniper spotter any time.
Broken Car Broken Heart
So it is with sadness and reluctantcy that I announce... my car broke down yesterday.... On the way home from work... about 45 minutes from my apartment.....
OUCH.
Driving down a road enjoying the somewhat breeze in the 99 degree air, I hear a "er er er er er" any time I accelerate. Then I notice... My AC is NOT working... Great.
luckily I had a feeling at 7:30pm that I just might need to pull over. With my luck... every car place was closed... Crap.
Then I see what looks like civilization at a Car Center so I immediatly pull over warranting a honk from the jerk riding my tail. They're closed.
Then I see a clean older man wearing way too short khaki shorts with a bottle of beer in his hand. "What can I seem to help ya with miss"?
Me... acting like a helpless damsel in distress... "Oh my, well I'm not quite sure... are you sure youre closed?... I could really use your help." Being a woman has its advantages. As they open the hood I see steam flying out like it was getting paid to do so and hear the whistle of an overheated car. Long story short... they looked at my car and it was as I expected... undriveable. 24 hours and a tow later to the Mazda dealership, I am awaiting the diagnosis on little TY- my car.
So please pray for TY and my hopefully Iron Clad warranty that I opted to pay for that is making me broke. :)
I quite love my little black mazda 3 with 10% gangster tinted windows and envious 6000K HID headlights...Details to follow.
New Chapter New Place
Ok people.. So I am FINALLY putting up pictures of my new place. I know I know nothing fancy but its a continual work in progress... Until I find a home that I want to spend all of my money on. I live right in Kennesaw close to my family and friends. And... I. love. my. place.. Best thing.. Its ALL MINE! No sharing with anyone else or having to be considerate of others. Just do what I want. :)
This is my beautiful living room... and you can see attached is the spare bedroom.. currently nothing to great going on in there other than its my temporary yoga/workout/clutter room. But I recently painted and love it!
My small but quaint kitchen :)
My view from my bedroom! I love this.. its a big pond with lilly pads
And this... as they say.. is where the magic happens. And by magic I mean SLEEP. I want to paint the walls gray and do a dramatic green curtains... thoughts?
This is the view from my back porch. It is so relaxing to come home to. And best part.. Its on the west side so I have many sunset evenings here.
So there you have it people. My quaint little place that I am quite in love with. Oh and if any of you ever have suggestions on how to make it nicer/ cute ideas.. Im very open to any ideas :)
Aunt Carolyn
So today I was thinking a lot about how awesome my Aunt Carolyn is. She is my step-dad's Sister in Law and has been in my life for almost 4 years but I feel like she's known me my entire life. I truly believe that certain people come into our lives at specific moments in our life. She is beautiful, caring, compassionate, freakin hilarious, selfless, smart, hard working, and overall just an awesome person.
I always get so excited when I get to see her because I know its a guaranteed good time and ab workout from laughing so hard. She just gets me and its so refreshing to just be able to be myself around her and not be held to some stressful expectation. Have you ever been around certain people in your life and you just feel like wherever they are its home? This is how Carolyn makes everyone feel. She has taught me so much in such a short time and has made me feel so loved and welcomed. I love my family and know everyone is busy with their lives but she has been the one to stop for a moment and go out her way for me and that means more to me than anything else.
Carolyn is married to an amazing guy named Scott. Uncle Scott..... What a stud. He is hilarious, patient, kind, smart, and just a thrill to be around. Thanks you two for being so incredible. And for giving me abs :)
KickBall!
So some of you might not know that I have joined a KICKBALL league this season. Its pretty much one of the coolest things i've done. One of my best friends just moved back to the area and wanted to meet new people and convinced me of joining the team. We are.. the BALL ROCKERS. We have our games every monday at Hammond Park and pretty much dominate.
So this week was theme week. Each team dresses up in some sort of theme. Ours of course was gender switch. So the ladies wowed in tuxedo attire and mustaches while the gents charmed in their sundresses.
Enjoy.
My good friend David is a vision in pink...
This must have been my reaction watching the gentlemen play
The mustache seriously was so itchy and going up my nose the whole time! So i resorted to a unibrow. So HOTT I know...
Happy 4th!
So this 4th of July It was SO NICE to finally be home. Every year, my family has a tradition and I had to miss it because I was in IDAHO for school... But THIS YEAR, I was back!
Every 4th, my family runs a 10K-6.2 mi at the Peachtree Road Race. It's the world's largest 10K with over 60,000 runners. Runners are selected based on a lottery. It was so hard but such an incredible experience. Needless to say, I can barely walk today. It's such an incredible experience to be a part of, thounsands of people line the streets to cheer you on, live bands play on the sidewalks, music blasting, I got blessed by a priest with Holy Water while running. Its just a fun and incredible experience.
After the race, the entire family goes to J. Christophers for a HUGE breakfast. This year we were able to meet up with my best friend Brad and his family and friends... Hopefully they'll come every year now too. Sadly.. I dont have a picture of this.. I was too concerned about eating my Bacon.... But it was an awesome day! After we went back to my parents, had a HUGE bbq, and relaxed.. Happy 4th everyone! So grateful to have freedom and live in an increidble country.
