A Day For Words
Do you ever have those days where you feel the need to be inspired? Have a need for emotional rejuvenation? Or want to feel that belief in people again? Well friends today is one of those days.
We say that actions speak louder than words; I completely agree with this. However, I do believe there are moments when words can touch us greater than actions alone. When this happens, there is a small beautiful moment that can take place if we let it. This is the moment when we let go of our pride and self absorbed views and Listen. We not only hear or read the words that are being spoken or written. But we listen and hold on.
It is easy to give up hope of people after they have let us down beyond disappointment. It is easy to not extend kindness to others after we have been hurt. There is a theory in a book I once read, Leadership & Self Deception, that says as humans, we are so quick to live inside a box where there is only room for our self and our ego. This is a place where we think only of ourselves and justify our judgement of others. But when the moment comes where we think of others first and quit justifying our inaction, we begin to step outside of our tiny box and begin to see people for their wonderful qualities and the world for what it really is. A gift.
“Generally speaking, the most miserable people I know are those who are obsessed with themselves; the happiest people I know are those who lose themselves in the service of others...By and large, I have come to see that if we complain about life, it is because we are thinking only of ourselves.” President Gordon B. Hinckley
For those who have hurt you beyond repair, forgive and let go.
For those you judge wrongfully - respect, understand, and love.
For the moments we feel alone and forgotten - Remember you are loved and are never truly alone.
The words below are only a few of many that I hold on to. We each have our own. This is a day for words, whether we want to listen or not.

Most Dreaded Day Of The Season
That's right people. The most dreaded day of the season has hit me like a Mack truck this morning.... The Cold/Flu day. I will admit... I was warned this day would come by family and friends. Yet, in my stubborness to not take my vitamins - Juice Plus - and get my flu shot of the season, I have been marked by the beast of this enemy. But what can I say, I forget about that little bottle of goodness for my body and refuse to come near a shot after a still traumatic experience involving a shot and my little tush O so many years ago.
So here it is, the scarlett letter of my stubborness - The red nose, the tissues everywhere, and the necessary purell. I was beyond excited when one of my co-workers brought me some amazing Chicken & Wild Rice Soup.

ULTiMatE FALL dAy!
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. So how about a ton of pictures?... They tell a story.
Over the weekend I got to visit one of my closest friends - Timara - in Tennessee. It was a much needed day of laughing, hanging out, and just having a ridiculous amount of fun. It was the ultimate weekend of rejuvenation to laugh off the stress of everyday life.
We wanted the Ultimate Fall Day and we got it. So see the weekend story below and enjoy!
