New Chapter New Place

Ok people.. So I am FINALLY putting up pictures of my new place. I know I know nothing fancy but its a continual work in progress... Until I find a home that I want to spend all of my money on. I live right in Kennesaw close to my family and friends. And... I. love. my. place.. Best thing.. Its ALL MINE! No sharing with anyone else or having to be considerate of others. Just do what I want. :)


This is my beautiful living room... and you can see attached is the spare bedroom.. currently nothing to great going on in there other than its my temporary yoga/workout/clutter room. But I recently painted and love it!

And this... as they say.. is where the magic happens. And by magic I mean SLEEP. I want to paint the walls gray and do a dramatic green curtains... thoughts?

This is the view from my back porch. It is so relaxing to come home to. And best part.. Its on the west side so I have many sunset evenings here.

So there you have it people. My quaint little place that I am quite in love with. Oh and if any of you ever have suggestions on how to make it nicer/ cute ideas.. Im very open to any ideas :)

Aunt Carolyn

So today I was thinking a lot about how awesome my Aunt Carolyn is. She is my step-dad's Sister in Law and has been in my life for almost 4 years but I feel like she's known me my entire life. I truly believe that certain people come into our lives at specific moments in our life. She is beautiful, caring, compassionate, freakin hilarious, selfless, smart, hard working, and overall just an awesome person.

I always get so excited when I get to see her because I know its a guaranteed good time and ab workout from laughing so hard. She just gets me and its so refreshing to just be able to be myself around her and not be held to some stressful expectation. Have you ever been around certain people in your life and you just feel like wherever they are its home? This is how Carolyn makes everyone feel. She has taught me so much in such a short time and has made me feel so loved and welcomed. I love my family and know everyone is busy with their lives but she has been the one to stop for a moment and go out her way for me and that means more to me than anything else.

Carolyn is married to an amazing guy named Scott. Uncle Scott..... What a stud. He is hilarious, patient, kind, smart, and just a thrill to be around. Thanks you two for being so incredible. And for giving me abs :)

KickBall!

So some of you might not know that I have joined a KICKBALL league this season. Its pretty much one of the coolest things i've done. One of my best friends just moved back to the area and wanted to meet new people and convinced me of joining the team. We are.. the BALL ROCKERS. We have our games every monday at Hammond Park and pretty much dominate.

So this week was theme week. Each team dresses up in some sort of theme. Ours of course was gender switch. So the ladies wowed in tuxedo attire and mustaches while the gents charmed in their sundresses.

Happy 4th!

So this 4th of July It was SO NICE to finally be home. Every year, my family has a tradition and I had to miss it because I was in IDAHO for school... But THIS YEAR, I was back!

Every 4th, my family runs a 10K-6.2 mi at the Peachtree Road Race. It's the world's largest 10K with over 60,000 runners. Runners are selected based on a lottery. It was so hard but such an incredible experience. Needless to say, I can barely walk today. It's such an incredible experience to be a part of, thounsands of people line the streets to cheer you on, live bands play on the sidewalks, music blasting, I got blessed by a priest with Holy Water while running. Its just a fun and incredible experience.

After the race, the entire family goes to J. Christophers for a HUGE breakfast. This year we were able to meet up with my best friend Brad and his family and friends... Hopefully they'll come every year now too. Sadly.. I dont have a picture of this.. I was too concerned about eating my Bacon.... But it was an awesome day! After we went back to my parents, had a HUGE bbq, and relaxed.. Happy 4th everyone! So grateful to have freedom and live in an increidble country.

Learning an Art

So as many of you know, I have committed myself to start learning photography. This is something I have wanted to do for so long. A while back I was able to photograph my cousin's wedding so sporadically I'll put some shots up.

It's About Time

So it came to my attention per my good friend Elise that I needed to "Update my Freakin blog already!!!" So here are some updates.

1. I moved into my own place in February... It's AMAZING! Pics to come
2. I work my booty off at work and have been moved to an awesome project! I now am the Financial Analyst/ Business Operations for the IT operations center at the CDC- People I do NOT know IT
3. I have met some amazing friends while here in GA and have made so many great memories
4. I'm IN LOVE with my Family- Especially my two youngest brothers who are 4 and 7
5. I have learned that there are so many things I want to do and master in life-

Got a big girl job!

So I know I have been MIA and for that I am so sorry but I got to catch up on my friends blogs still so happy for all of my wonderful friends and whats going on with them! Kallie youre prego and getting a new apt! Lindsay happy one year! Ashley congrats on EVERYTHING lol and Brit youre beautiful and i love ya, Bridge love your adventures, Brandilyn you have the best style.. those are just the ones fresh in my head ah!

But.. I GOT A JOB!!!!! 1 1/2 weeks after graduation!

***This has actually been my 3rd week I have just been so busy! I am now a Financial and Budget Analyst for Unisys Corporation- Federal Sector. My client is the CDC where I work!! My division is the Division of Library Sciences and Services-DLSS within the Epidemiology and Analysis Program Offices-EAPO- Within the Office of Surveillance, Epidemiology and Laboratory Services- OSELS. Whew yeah try saying that on an office voicemail. not fun.

It has been a HUGE challenge but such an incredible experience thus far. I am so blessed to have such an AMAZING job right out of college. I get to work at the Beautiful CDC and the campus is gorgeous! I love the people I get to work with and I get to learn every day. Its so incredible being able to be apart of a cause for an organization that does so much! What we do directly affects Congress, the President, and the nation which is so amazing. But I'm loving it! Its a crazy learning curve but I enjoy what I do.. And now comes apartment hunting!!!

Also... Steelers suck... so glad they lost :)

Roadtrip 2010

So Naturally I needed a way to get to GA from Idaho. So Bring on Roadtrip 2010!!!



Kevin and I decided to do this straight through. All-nighter. 27 hours of pure.... yeah well you can guess. But we saw some amazing sights and made some amazing memories!



Step One: Map out your route. Mr. Garmin and iphone had a debate about who would get there faster. iphone won.

We saw some BEAUTIFUL sights! The country was just absolutely gorgeous. Wyoming was definitely my favorite. Jackson, WY was our favorite little town we were ObSessed with the Antler arches. Majority of the trip was in Freezing weather, Icey roads, and not so great conditions. We packed up my tiny little Mazda and went on our way. I couldn't Believe how much STUFF we fit in the car. 27 hours in a car with one person will test anyones patience but we had TONS of fun, made some great memories, and made it in one piece! There arent too many people I could do this trip with but Im so glad I had him there. He was great :) Wouldnt let me drive on any bad roads so I wouldnt be scared, took care of me on the drive, and was pretty entertaining on the trip. Overall I would say Roadtrip 2010 was a Success!

Graduated!!!

I... is... GRADUATED!!!

So ever since I got home its been CRAZY!! Ugh! But its been a lot of fun and theres a lot to catch up on! But first things first... I finally Graduated BYU-Idaho with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management with a minor in Marketing and Communications!!
Ah it feels so good to be done. Its a bitter sweet thing but I'm glad to be done and starting a new chapter of my life.So heres how graduation went. Kevin, My mom & brian, Dad and Lori mom all flew up for my graduation. I am a lucky gal to have so many loved ones fly up to see me on my day. Heres some pics so you can visually see lol.

This week can only be described in one word. HeLL. Sorry! It just had to be said haha. And its only Tuesday!!! But sadly still feels like Monday with a four hour break for some sleep. But IM ALMOST DONE!! Im so glad to be staying busy though because my Family and Kevin come in this week!! Ah I cant wait! If I had nothing to do I would be going crazy!!

Good News Minute:
1. So Completely NAILED my consulting presentation! Heck yes. My client also won the Idaho Business Competition.
2. The client loved and is now using my designs and graphics to represent his company for logos and business cards











3. Im pretty much done with college so I can now be an...












4. I get to See Kevin on Thursday!!!! And my family too!!!
5. I get to go home to Atlanta for the Holidays and STAY THERE!
6. I had the best HARD run and work out two days in a row for some good stress relief
7. IM HAPPPY!!!

Well People. My life might be a little more boring once I go home but I cant wait!!! Ah!!

Ending of an era

K This week has gone by incredibly fast! Its been insane! I guess its a good thing though because I cant wait to GRADUATE and be HOME!
Well for those of you who didnt know I got offered a JOB in ST. THOMAS Island to do sales and marketing!! But after much consideration declined. Something in my gut told me not to take it. So Im Atlanta bound! I have been blessed with great opportunities to work right when I get home! I want to feel settled and just constant. With school and jobs in the summer I never felt "Home" in any place. Thats something I really miss and cant wait to have.
Also I got Domesticated this week!!! The Lovely and talented Kim Shaum taught me how to make an awesome Minky blanket.. you know that way way soft material they seem to only use for newborn babies that you cant stop feeling and rubbing your face against? Yeah I have a big girl version of that now!!I must say I was pretty proud of myself! But it was so much fun to work on it with Kim! I was so grateful for her PATIENCE with me and for teaching me. Lets just say I'm one step closer to being the best future mom ever!

ALSO!... Have you heard of Lib Dub: Flash Mobs... You know where people break out into dance in random public places and dance and where they film it and play it in reverse??

Well I got to be apart of one last saturday for the BYU-I Lib Dub flash mob! They only have the trailer/ ROUGH ROUGH ROUGH version up .... none of the lip syncing was practiced yet really but heres a sneak peek of what itll kind of be like for the first lib dub part :

So obviously by the lack of my blog updates I have been INSANELY busy!!!! With school starting again the week after the Thanksgiving break the teachers are layin everything on us! Its been good though, just means it goes by that much faster! I love how each teacher for EACH class requires us to do like 3 hours of hw everyday and with that means about 10 hours of hw.
But on a good note.. from this second there is
13 days 16 hours 46 minutes and 4 seconds til GRADUATION!!!!!!!!!

This is just unreal I still am in shock! ps ANYONE who wants a graduation announcement text or message me through fb or some means :)

So today im Supposed to blog about my friends. I am so lucky and have the BEST friends anyone could ask for!
